Current mood:  blissful
WOW.

I mean, really. Wow.

We had been "warned" about this event in Put-In-Bay, OH, but just wow.

We arrived home last night around 3:15am, having talked about the event for most of the 12 hours home. It's events like these that make us so grateful to be able to do this for a living. Pleasure and privelege rolled into one. Meeting GREAT, great people along the way. Hearing new music, new groups, smiling, being inspired, rushing here and there to catch everybody, feeling more tired than the body can stand but running around some more anyway,

Tom and Michelle from Latitude- we have really begun doing a lot of events together and it's SO about time. These two are awesome. Several times this weekend we got onstage together and it was magic. Called ourselves the "ABBA" of the Trop-Rock world, or as Robbie put it- - "well, we're backwards. More like the 'BAAB' of the Trop-Rock world." Whatever you call it, it was incredible. If you haven't been to their website yet, shame, shame!!! It's www.latitudemusic.net.

One act that simply blew us away was the Corned Beef and Curry Band, from the Pittsburgh area. These guys are just in a word amazing. They have energized us with their sheer talent and love of what they do on stage; if you ever are in the area they are a must-see. Their website is www.cornedbeefandcurryband.com.

We had time to spend and share with so many great people. Jim Hoehn, KD Moore, Jerry Diaz, Jack Mosley, Jim Morris... not to mention our fabulous roommates. Generally Robbie and I can be hermits when it comes to accomodations, but our four roomies made us feel perfectly at home and apparently didn't mind when I finished off the diet coke (yes, that was me). My only complaint is that they do that "bed making" thing that I have read about somewhere or another... definitely a sign of some kind of illness.

Have to gig tonight at the Ocean House, but my mind is still very far away on a small island in Lake Erie only accessible by ferry. Love to all friends, new, old, and rekindled.

Sounds like a great event. I enjoyed Latitude and you at Floridaze. Always fun being in the audience. Next year, I will have to make the trip up to OHIO. One can be at only so many parties. My next long weekend off the rock is Migration '08 in Vegas. It looks like a great group of musicians also.

You all take care.
