I am in the process of doing a make up line. I am curious to know what you guys want. I have the option of doing a few Vegan items as well. Let me know what colors and items you like. It will be everything from eye shadows to lipsticks to face powder and brushes. I love color pallets as well so I may do a few of those! Let me know ladies (and gents)!

I've been looking for the perfect deep red lipstick.  Not orangey, not bright, not wine-colored or burgandy, but like, dried-blood red.  That's my dream item.  :)  And also an awesome pewter eyeshadow that is not too silver.  Good luck...that's awesome!!

A Blue/Red based lip stick is what you are talking about. Skin tones are important. Concealer is something I always need. And a good mascara that doesn't flake, w/ a good brush that isn't gonna pull your eyelashes out. All colors of eyeshadow. Love this! I can't wait... xoxo Jane

Definitely an awesome, longer lasting eye shadow in purples, greens and deep deep blues. Nothing I use seems to last very much longer than half a day!!

I've been looking for the ideal purple eyeshadow. I can find similar colors, but nothing specific to what I've been looking for. I want a deep, but at the same time bright purple. Something a little more on the pink side than plum..

Omg! If you do face powder and make a shade thats super pale but not white that would make me so happy, its impossible to find colors light enough, and uv reactive eyeshadow would be pretty kickass, as well as some wild colors of lipsticks because it's hard to find those too!

...are you sure you'd want to do non-vegan products as well? Many vegans (myself included) have extreme reservations about supporting a company that uses animal testing or animal-derived ingredients in its products. Would the chemicals in the non-vegan products be tested on animals? If not, would they be using dead animal body fluid or other animal products?

It's just my opinion, but... wouldn't it be just as easy to make the entire line vegan? It might mean something for the guilty conscience of both the producer and consumer (and the animals, too!).

I would never use any product tested on animals. I am actually looking into if I can have all the make up made vegan. Sometimes there is beeswax in a lot of make up.

Ahh, yeah. I figured you wouldn't, I was just putting the idea of an all-vegan line out there. I know Manic Panic is vegan, maybe you can grab some ideas from them.

Beeswax alternatives are out there, I'm sure, but are probably a lot more expensive than what you'd want to pass along to consumers.

Hm. Good idea, I'd just love to see it 100% cruelty-free.

Also- liquid eyeliner that has a firmer applicator? Yes ma'am!

I've been looking for a perfect sparkly black eye shadow that isn't too expensive...All the brands I try either don't apply correctly or they're too gray!

I like intense colors...Deep blues and greens, also glittery white and pink. If you created a good rockstar color pallet I would definitely buy it!

colorful nail polish is fun, too. :D

I would love an awesome waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It's hard to find ones that are actually great quality and won't run when my allergies kick in or I cry or my eyes are being sensitive or whatever else makes my eyes water.

And kudos for wanting to bring us color pallets! wooo!!!!

Yes, if it's possible, a foundation that doesn't require a fake bake in order to get it to match your skin.

I was cursed with oily skin... so all of my makeup must me oil-free and long-lasting. I wear coverup constantly, but my main obsession is any and all eye makeup. I love brown eyeshadow... but I really want something that's almost the color of milk chocolate. Evan more than that, I'm into dark colors; the darker the better. I love eye liner, but mine never stays in place. [Maybe it's the dreaded oily skin?] I need something waterproof and smudge-proof. I've gotten many that claim to be both of those things, however I have yet to find that actually does what the label says it will. Also, if you can make my lashes even longer and thicker, that'd be all sorts of bad ass. ... If you're able to provide me with new products that solve my dorky makeup dilemmas, I'll love you even more! =-)
-Katie.

I'm also trying to find a waterproof mascara that:
1)  Doesn't make my eyes water (sensitive)
2)  Doesn't pull my eyelashes off when I'm trying to remove it-it gets so cakey!
As with everything, thanks again for taking the time to actually ASK what we want!  That's supa-awesome!!
:)

The dried blood red lipstick sounds amazing, as does the rockstar color pallet.  I am a huge fan of liquid liner.

How about bright colors for eyeshadows? Pinks, Plums, Chartreuse, electric blue

Oh and for the lipsticks, how about one that wont smudge but also wont stay on your lips the next day even after trying to take it off?

The Vegan products sound GREAt, and with the eyeshadows, maybe make a line that wont smudge.  Black eyeshadow smudges alot.

Do you have a name picked out for your makeup line?

I think dark color eyeshadows would be nice, as well as colors like teal, purple, neon pink etc. in eyeshadow that are actually that color..I find a lot of eyeshadows are supposed to be a certain color but when you put them on they are super light and you can barely see them.

A good way to get the blood red look on your lips is to do the following:

1. Moisturize your lips (I use nivea lip balm) and let it absorb.
2. Line your lips with a medium colored lip liner (like rosewood by Elizabeth Arden), then fill in your lips.
3. Apply a deep red lipstick like Lush Red by Elizabeth Arden using a lip brush.
4. Place a tissue over your lips and tap off excess.
5. Before removing tissue, dust the tissue, using a foundation brush, with with small amount of baby powder. This make the lipstick long lasting.

I never have a problem with keeping my lipstick on (within reason), and it's always a nice dark blood red when I use this method. It definitely seems like a huge pain in the ass... but in the end, my lips look smashing, and they don't chap. I broke down and bought the Lush Red by Elizabeth Arden, but you can use any of the drugstore lipsticks as long as it has the depth that the Lush Red has. I used NYC products for awhile, just don't go cheap on the moisturizer.

Me too! I've been searching for the perfect red for my shade but I either get orange-y, or like too pink! That will be awesome! An awesome red matte eyeshadow would rOck too. I finally found one I like, but more options are great!! Hm, I'm really big on eye highlighters for the innder corners of my eyes. So options like pink hues, and gold hues would be amazing.

I really love the vibrant eyeshadows from make-up forever, i like deep blues, and purples, also a quad w/ bronzes like bobby brown is great... I like that one because u can apply w/ your fingertips and blend... as you know, it's all about the pigment! For lips i love a really natural almost skin color which is hard to find and suttle pinks and of course a deep red.. Also, Avon has this kind of clear lipstick that u put on top of lipstick, it's creamy like a moisturizer....i love that.. Finding a great pink and coral for blush is hard to find as well... Mac changed their formula yrs ago and it's not as good as it used to be in my opinion and i'm not blown away by Nars blush either... For eyeliner, i love grey as an alternative for black... Probably not much here u don't already know...:) So exciting! Celeste

this sounds so fun! I agree, some fabulous liquid liners, in bold colors! and I also agree with the solid black, no glitter.  But maybe both the glitter black and the solid black together in one pallet for those of us with dual personalities....    :)

whatever you decide, i'm sure it will be funky and fun! Is there an ETA on this?

Self sharpening, thick eye-liner.

Better yet, how about to go with all this great stuff, a DVD that shows how you apply it to get "those looks". My daughter would love that...and so would I. I think we all sometimes get into a rut and would love to actually watch someone else do it without having to pay an arm and a leg for professional in person applications.
