The following is a snippet from an article I wrote entitled "The Earth is Heavy: The Untapped Crystals." I wanted to share this with those interested in what I do and the reasons why gemstones are so important to our health...read away and always enjoyourSelf. Peace~LaKeisha

"Synergizing our hue-man energy with the energy imparted from gemstones will cause an increase in vibration and an increased ability to conduct positive energy and produce changes in our own bodies, lives and communities. Gems are crystals comprised of the various atomic chemicals, such as carbon, silicon, and iron.

The chemical elements are combined in the Earth over the ages through pressure, heat and time producing amazing rocks of color, design, texture and weight. As mentioned earlier, the same basic elements of the Earth and the body are the same; thus depending upon their composition, the vibrational charges of certain stones will correspond to similarly comprised molecules in the body and mind. Often times, due to our religious or cultural beliefs we discount this truthful connection and write it off as voodoo or going against our faith. However, history has shown that knowledge of using gems has been documented by our ancient ancestors. Jasper, onyx, emeralds, and lapis lazuli are examples of stones mentioned in religious writings as well as showing up in evidence from the original Kush (Ethiopian) and Kemetic (Egyptian) civilizations.

Sankofa reminds us that it is never too late to return and fetch what we have forgotten. Our stagnation in healing and overcoming the trauma we've experienced must come to a halt. Gemstones have the power to assist us in fortifying our foundations in order to build for a healthy future. 'Asase Ye Duru' is a West African Adinkra symbol shaped like a leaf or fern which means the earth is heavy, embodying our roots and sustenance. Mother Earth is heavy with change and transformation. We must deal with our issues of self-love, trauma within our families, and persecution by an unjust government and the various other dis-eases we experience that cause high blood pressure, heart attacks, mental breakdowns, violent outbursts, tumors and other physical plagues. We possess the power to change these bodily conditions as well as the social imbalances through the blessing of gemstone technology at our fingertips. Let's make the decision individually and collectively to be open to positive vibrations for our healing and well-being. There are scores of stones created in the Earth, each with its own properties and purpose — much like each one of us. Whatever change we wish to see in the world, we must be able to envision it within ourselves and the gemstones are available as catalysts for the transformation. Imagine a unified, collectively vibrating force, healthy and whole and focused on a common destiny, able to confront and balance out the injustices in our world. This is the opportunity provided us naturally to build community. The ability to tap into the core of who we are and find everything we need for liberation is truly a miracle. You are a crystal and that is the bottom line."
