Hello All,

It's been awhile since we have posted any news, and I know many of ya'll are wondering what's going on here at South Side, so here's the scoop.

We have been working with a really great real estate agent to try and find a warehouse big enough and inexpensive enough to build our track and hold our games in.  We had several that we were ready to sign on, but because of Ike, we were forced to look elsewhere.  We are working very hard to find ourselves a new home – but it looks like we are going to have to push our move out of Pearwood Skate back a few months. 

We will keep everyone posted on our search – and if anyone out there knows of an empty warehouse you think might work for us, send us an email @ info@southsideroolerderby.com

Meanwhile we have been steadily recruiting fresh meat to add new blood to our existing South Side teams.  We have added a group of really great girls this season and are excited to introduce our friends and fans to the newbies. 

To give our new girls a bit of experience (and to get our lazy vets back into shape) South Side will be holding a series of pre season scrimmages at Pearwood while we continue to look for our new home –  These pre-season "teams' will be a mixture of our old schoolers and our newbie's.  (Don't worry; the teams you know and love will be back in April!)

So- below are the dates for our 2009 pre-season:

January 25^th – The Greasers vs The Preps

February 22^nd – Super Heroes vs Super Villains

March 29^th – Fire vs Ice
