Pretty soon we will be moving to a new concert calendar format and moving away from myspace's calendar - which has given us trouble from time to time and as of now has disable us from editing or entering new shows.

Decided to look up "calendar" on myspace apps and found something called CLUBSTR. It's a music/gig calendar app that is for fans, bands, and venues. Bands and venues can register on CLUBSTR.com before installing the myspace app.

After registering CLUBSTR creates a widget that can be placed on any website. The application allows band pics and song samples to be embedded in the calendar next to the show date.

Why we need your help is that when we add shows to our calendar we have to choose a band from their database or create our own. Creating band profiles ourselves, we usually dont have all your info and cannot upload a band pic or a music sample. So you can imagine how it benefits both Hollywood Alley and the bands we host if we can get as many bands as possible to register on CLUBSTR.

So far the application has had a few bugs, but the creator of the application has been great answering questions and fixing bugs.

So, please...if you can...register your band on CLUBSTR.com. Feel free to use the myspace app as well to advertise your band's upcoming shows. We are on there, so it will be easy to add a Hollywood Alley show once you are registered.
