HOLY SHIT!
Honestly, I can't believe it's official. Cleaveland Jones has won the 2007 Miami New Times Reader's Poll for BEST ROCK BAND. First, I'd like to set the record straight. I only voted for myself ONCE. I did, however, vote for Cleaveland Jones for every category including "Best Local Politician" and "Best Place to get Stoned." Second, I need to THANK THE ACADEMY because I did not do this by myself.
THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO VOTED FOR CLEAVELAND JONES. Thank you to the New Times for spelling my name right (I was beginning to think you guys didn't like me). Thank you to Laura and the Rhythm Foundation for including Cleaveland Jones in the Trans-Atlantic Festival. Thank you Transit Lounge, Jazid, Circa28, The Standard, Amendment XXI and all those who have hired Cleaveland Jones to perform live. Thanks to Bob of City Link Magazine for having such a way with words. Thank you Starr from the Broward New Times and all those brought the beer to Beerfest. Thank you Lizzie and Tanya for the Carnival on the Mile. Thank you WDNA and WLRN. Thanks to Fred, Joe, and Joe at The Dungeon recording studio.
