This is my 6th year attending Summer Music Programs. Over the years, my approach to the music has changed quite a bit. When I first came here, I had no idea what to expect. I had never played in a band before and I had never been in a recording studio. Honestly, I was a little nervous, but by the end of the week, I was having a lot of fun. Now, six years later, getting up on stage is just a regular part of the week. As the years have gone by, I think that now try to focus more on Friday's concert when picking songs, because there is no better way to start your weekend than playing an awesome set on Friday.

This is my 4th year at Summer Music Programs. Throughout the years this camp has given me a sense of confidence that I had previously lacked. Sure, I was nervous the first time I went up on stage. But now, I feel like a seasoned veteran up there. So, yeah, it's been quite a bit of fun to play myriad songs over the years and the memories will last a lifetime.

I just want to say I'm only writing this because I lost the nose game! This is a good place, just a little confusing in that while they support us playing music, they also occasionally ask us to take time out of playing to write blogs! (If you are reading this...how bored are you?)

I really enjoy Summer Music Programs because it allows me to play songs I like with a band and actually perform them at a concert. I enjoy every day at this camp and think that it is cool that I get to record myself at a studio and get my band's music on a CD at the end of the week.
