Run Run is Interstate's first record, coming all the way from Kentucky, and nevertheless, their sound is still original and creative. A record you can listen to eyes closed.

How can you sum up Interstate's music? There are times when you wonder how valuable words are compared to a raw and pure emotion.  Still, it is my duty to make you love this band, because this is the kind of feeling you'll go through when listening to Run, Run.

Imagine a warm summer night in the middle of the country. You're alone but surrounded by an omnipotent nature that you know how debonair it is. You close your eyes, lying on the grass, and listen to all those organic sounds. It doesn't take long before you forget the scientific explanations and let yourself immerse into an imaginary world full of symbolisms. Now becomes meaningless and you are lost in a pale notion of time and life. This, my friends, is what Interstate's music makes you feel like. Technically, it's an electro rock universe stripped of any precise influences - though you could think of Mutemath or Muse at some times, which may be explained by the complete lack of singing. The progressive side of the music is to be put forward: the sounds and the rythms are conceived to take us in places where stories and imagination evolves ... and while sometimes they just feel content with a particular mood, other times they will drag us in a much more detailed adventure.

If you believe that music is art dedicated to transcendency, then you're not alone, and the guys from Interstate surely share your belief. Named Alex O'Nan and Kyle Noltemeyer, respectively drummer/programmer and guitarist, the two have had a long story on their own before settling together. Hardcore and electro backgrounds where somehow meant to become Interstate. Which explains why while Run Run is their first album, it smells maturity from the start of this brillant effort. It's precisely from their creativity that this project takes most of it's interest: moving away from usual grounds and exploring a combination of possibilities that were until then never taken into consideration. A risky move that Interstate made look easy. And even those who don't like the end result can't ignore all the work that was put into it, all the artistry that was used to craft this record.

Run Run will illuminate your summer(s) with powerfull moments whatever you go through, whatever you're up to, and wherever you are. And you can bet you'll get hooked to all the memories those marvelous tunes will print into you.
