Hiya, just a quick blog to tell you of happenings recently. This week i have mostly been playing music in a band called "One for Butter" (chamberesque folk with fun bits) that i really enjoy playing with, and a new duo. The new duo is me and my mate Will Pound who is an incredible harmonica player that has everyone routinely pulling there jaws from the floor. We are going to share a house next year, play some gigs, and have the most incredible time having jams and occassional sexual innuendo competitions.
I attended a talk given by a great ballad singer called Sara Gray about "Ballad transportation from Scotland to America" that was absolutely fascinating. She is an incredible banjoist aswell and a great inspiration. Recently i have joined a Morris Side called "New Morris" that i play fiddle for and hopefully will dance as well. Thats about it, have got some new photo's in the Photo section from past gigs. In one i look part folky part trani ( i don't mean the one with my current long hair....thats just cruel!!) as at that time i went through a phase of wareing acrylic nails for playing.
Peace and thanks
Simon
