It's all about Sigur Ros! My god! Have y'alls listened to them? Jesus fucking christ it's beautiful! Awesome road tripping music too. Especially during the sunrise. I haven't had an emotional impact like this from music since I first discovered the Butthole Surfers and then Joy Division. This stuff makes me feel so many contradictory emotions all at once. Terrified, elated, guilty, justified, alive, numb. I feel an epiphony as I listen through an album. And then at the end, I feel as though I have confessed or some shit.
Now I need me some money so I can get me some My Morning Jacket, Mogwai, and ummm, um, some other shit too.
I did score a good one though on Friday. Payday of course. I had some music stuck in my head. Music from way back. A long time ago. I have it on tape, but I never listen to music at home, so I haven't heard it in a long time. And I wanted to listen to it in my car while driving. Big Black! Specifically the song Kerosene. MY GOD that shit just fucking rocks my asshole in two! It's fucking RELENTLESS!!!!! And I found that album on cd used for six bucks! WOO HOO!!!
Anyways. I just needed to get that out. If ya get a chance, go check out the band House on Ponce De Leon. They're on my friends list. http://www.myspace.com/houseonponcedeleon They're from LODI too!! Right next door to my hometown of Galt! Would ya believe that?
And also check out the Evening Episode from my other hometown of Sacramento. http://www.myspace.com/theeveningepisode
And then when ya get the chance, go check out Girle. http://www.myspace.com/girle No hometown action here ladies and gentleman, because she's from, well, from Australia.
Then rape me in the ass and tell your grandkids all about it.
Goodnight!
