Upcoming Releases

Karoshi
We're very proud to be able to announce that 4-4-2 Music will be releasing the new Karoshi album sometime in the second half of 2009. Karoshi self-released an acclaimed EP in 2007 and the new album will see his sound both reinforced and growing with the addition of the input of instrumentation from his live band and other collaborators. If you're in Sydney, the band has a bunch of shows in the next few months as the material is roadtested live and fine tuned for release.

Lessons In Time
18 year old Blake Wassell has been making a name for himself over the last year. 4-4-2 Music released his debut self-titled EP in December which has received warm reviews and playlisted radio airplay. We are very happy to be able to announce that Leicester, England based label For The Sake Of The Song has signed Lessons In Time for an album to be released in early 2010. Get a copy of his EP before he goes global and stops talking to his old friends.

Andy Rantzen
A couple of years ago, we embarked on a re-releasing program of the music of legendary Australian producer Andy Rantzen. That program has recently restarted but with a slight shift. At Andy's insistence we've decided to release the works completely free of charge as full resolution .wav files instead of just compressed mp3 files. The first of these, a previously unreleased Pelican Daughters album from the early 90s, can be found at http://www.archive.org/details/442-net-010 with more to follow. Keep checking in to the 'music for free' page at the 4-4-2 Music website for more releases in the upcoming months.
