Nassau West: It's Time to Vote!

Sunrise, NW - The Nassau West Department of Elections is ecstatic to announce that FULLY online voting will be a reality for the first time ever! Qualified individuals can register to vote right from the Elections Department Web site until 5 PM Sunday, November 2, 2008.
According to the Elections Department, work was done throughout the weekend to revive their Web site, which had been in disrepair since the last elections in 2006. It was unclear at the outset of the weekend if online voting would finally come to fruition this year, and it has.
A sample ballot can be seen on the site at this time, but no submissions are being accepted yet. The ballot is still subject to change until the same deadline for registration, 5 PM Sunday. Many choices of "official" this and thats (official bird, official colors, etc.) are expected to be added before the election.
The whole lot of Ambassadors, more than a half dozen, still need to be added to the ballot for retention or dismissal. Ambassadors have never been on the ballot before as they are appointed by the President, and serve at his leisure. However, as Bartram has been President continuously since 1989, many doubt the democratic process even exists in Nassau West.
