Okay so the time has finally arrived. My girlfriend from about the age of ten and I planned a trip to the Mediterranean and we are about to leave for our first destination Rome. I will have my laptop on hand and although wireless will not always be available I will do my best to stay in touch. So I am posting my blog now and for the next few weeks it will be sporadic.

I can hardly wait for my adventure to begin Rosemary is like a sister and I know that together we can get into all sorts of trouble. Yes of course my kids and family are always worried when I take off and cast my fate to the wind, but for me it’s a taste of freedom that allows my spirit to explore and experience and I can’t wait to enjoy whatever adventure comes our way. I don't know if it's a problem or not but I have been wrestling with this for the past 2 years.  I own a small business that has served me well over the last 25 years. I have 4 kids of which 2 are going to university and the other 2 are older and out of the house.  For some reason me and my wife are getting itchy feet and are tempted to sell the house business and cottage.  We want to move close to the ocean and perhaps do something else for a living.  It sounds like a great adventure but at the same time it scares the hell out of me.  I am getting quite bored around here lately.  What do you think?
