about a month ago, it was announced that colin hay of men at work would be playing here in nashville on september 26 - tonight.  i'm a pretty big fan of ol' colin (especially his more recent work), so i arranged to get some tickets.  as it turns out, my friend john got to interview him for his radio station this morning.  so around 9:15 this morning, i'm setting up for my research when my phone rings.  i had just walked out the door and luckily my thesis partner yelled at me that it was ringing thinking that perhaps it was another researcher that we had been trying to get a hold of for the past 2 weeks.  "why do you say 'luckily'?" you ask.  because who was it but mr. hay himself!  now, i see celebrities at work all the time and don't really get too star struck however none of them have ever called my cell phone.  needless to say i was pretty excited.  i may have turned a little red.  i may have jumped up and down one or two times.  pretty exciting.  made doing research a little more bearable today, that's for sure.
