Current mood:  productive

i am you . i am my memory. repeat forever til the day i die.
too controlling. In wants Out. Quiet wants to run naked down the street.
a prisoner free to come and go as i please
and i'm pleased to stay in my cell.
the couch swallows me.
the mirror laughs at me.
and the cats pray and cry out to me.
feed me. feed me. feed me.

i think i'll step outside and see what i can see.
the worker bee much happier than me.
livers of life. the stage set for summer.
sweet sweat sleepers dreaming of starring roles
in the movie in my head.
the drugs are wearing off...
becomes the swearing off of drugs...
 i act. i pretend.
we all act. we all pretend.

note to self: kiss whenever you get the chance
let lips touch lips . surrender mine to yours.
and whisper nothing...you can cry in the morning

the thing i like about it all is i have stood lackluster right beside you in a silly place never knowing you had written these words two years before. now, i know, and i have a box of chocolates next to me almost all half-bitten and eaten. they are in a heart shaped box and my cat chases a flashlight beam because i've lost the laser and if quiet runs naked down streets, it's just a story and because of you I'll consider kissing the next lips that ask, and i'll feel silly for the three minutes i think about writing this... then one day i'll most likely die.

thrill yourself .. and the only lips worth kissing are the ones that don't ask for kisses.
seek out the song " i wrote a song about the ocean " by simon joyner
see the movie A WOMEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE by john cassavettes
