Hmm I don't know if it was partying with over 1,000 people at House of Blues in Dallas or crossing paths with Craig Owens, Jason Bynum, or even Sara Bareilles at South by South West in Austin, but this weekend will without a doubt, NEVER BE TOPPED!!!  It was better than the weekend YOUUU had no matter what you did.  Srsly.

As if you didn't know, I went on a two day journey following the AP Tour from Dallas to Austin and it's something I will never forget.  The shennanigans started in Dallas at none other than my second home, The House of Blues.  Even though I was stiffed one ticket (i love you<3) to the sold out show, I partied in the front of the crowd from start to finish.  Drive A, Rocket to the Moon, Hit the Lights, The Maine, Family Force 5, and 3oh!3 brought the house down and everyone in the crowd was feeling it.  If any of you guys know me, you know I had to play favorites and say that Family Force 5 blew the ROOOOF of this place.  I haven't seen them since Warped 08 becuase the Dance Rawr Dance 2 Tour didn't venture to Dallas, and dude...  they're shows are getting better and better and better.  Trust me, it was my 6th (Austin being my 7th) time seeing them live. Haha.  3oh!3 closed the show with an awesome LOUD set and everyone had a great time.

The next day was in Austin.  We woke up at 7am and left close to 8:45am.  SO TIRED...  I was so stoked though... Not only was it the AP Tour FREE in Austin, it was fuggin South by South West!  I cannot even begin to describe how excited I was because it was my first time to the legendary music fest.  From Fort Worth, we travled to Baylor to pick my buddy Fedor and his friend Brian. As we drove in, I forgot how much Austin traffic absolutely blows...  haha.  Finding parking took 20 minutes!!!  After all that, we finally trekked to the all mighty and glorious Sixth Street.  It was absolutely beautiful and I was in shock because I WAS AT SXSW!!!  I couldn't believe I was doing all of this.  AP Tour here was taking place at Emo's.  They venue was split up by Main Emo's, Emo's Jr, and the Emo's Annex Tent across the street (where FF5 played).  We were super bummed we missed The Secret Handshake but it was beyond our control =/  line to get in Emo's was SO long.

We ate lunch at Daddy's Sports Bar and Grill which as FANTASTIC.  Food was so good then Erin met us there!  I was stoked she tagged along.  After that, we walked around as I soaked in the Austin/SXSW culture and environment.  It was just... so me.  I wanted it to last forever and was the happiest I've been in a long time!  We went back into the Emo's Annex Tent to get ready to watch FF5.  Anberlin was playing. Those guys can play an awesome show and are so good live.  Haha I was so excited when I realized I was sharing the crowd with Craig Owens, who was like 10 feet behind me.  What I would give to get a pic with him... haha but he was enjoying the show as much as I was.

After Anberlin we made our way into the front of the crowd.
Basically...
FF5 played...
I jammed...
I danced...
I sang...
And I sweated...
And I loved it.

It was almost better than the House of Blues show because the tent was like, smaller than my backyard and it was just a perfect setting.  Small, close, and hot!!!  haha.  After the show we hung around Austin for a bit, chatted it up with FF5 about what to expect for the rest of the year, hung out, and had a good time.  I was bummed I had to miss the free Forever the Sickest Kids show being filmed for DirecTV.  That would've been so cool.

Anyway, we drove back around 6, dropped those fools off at Baylor, drove home, showered, and crashed for 10 hours.  Haha.  It was an incredible day that I wanna do over and over again!

Keep your eyes out for bulletins/updates about the pics from both days!!!  I'm editing/sorting through over 200.  Gotta narrow some down.
