Current mood:  accomplished

What's poppin yall? I woke up this morning to take my nephew to school. This is his first day. By the way, this blog is not edited for grammar or anything so be kind. He's new to the city, so I'm thinking of some inspirational words to give him. Those that know me, know I have a lot. But I had to think about this one. I was thinking about giving him a laundry list of things not to do.

1. Don't be up there acting a fool.
2. Listen to your teacher.
3. You better be studying your reading.
4. Don't let nobody put there hands on you.
5. If they do, hit em back!

But I thought to myself. Why would I create energy that doesn't exist? If I bring all those things up I bring them to existence even though I'm telling him not to do it. I'm warning him yeah. But I am also putting the thought in his head. So instead of him not doing it, he knows not to let me catch him doing it. So maybe if he's in a situation like that he won't talk to me about it in fear of an ass whooping
So I sata back and thoght about it. I scratched the speech and the laundry list. I looked at him in his eyes, smiled and said: "You're going to love your new school", you're going to get good grades, and this is going to be the best year you ever had". I wish I could've took a picture of him at that moment. He was smiling from ear to ear and he said "YEAH I AM!". I try to speak things to existence as much as possible.
Mind you, he might go to school and slap somebody upside the head but at least he has a set of goals in the back of his mind to achieve to. Eventually my voice will leave his brain and he will be left with the words. No matter if you say you can do something, or can't do something either way your right! You can say something positive just as quickly as you say something negative.

1. This sh** ain't gone work.
2. That mutha**** get on my nerves!
3. I hate waking up for work.

We all do it. That's the negative energy we have swirling in our heads. We repeat that over and over and that puts us in even a worse mood. Try switching it around and see the results you get. I gurantee you will be surprised!! I'm talking to myself by the way. Positive thinking is a relatively new thing to me but it's the only way to go...

Yo, he's been a true soldier at school too. Man's inclination is to be great and to succeed. That's why life is so challenging at times because factors try to suppress and hinder what you were put on this earth to do. So you have to sometimes remind people of the power that lies within them.
