Quantcast Next In Row

Innocence proved only show
Signs all read, devoured slow
Blindness faked in vivid world
Transparent mask upon girl
Lessons taught through history
Feed a mind; no mystery
Smiling they stand in a row
Quicker falls each domino
Dots differ, number equal
Movie seen, view now sequel
Requiring a kind of deep
Company chosen just can't keep
Passion needy, no supply
Beg for feeding, be denied
Lustful, must be an illusion
Fear assuming such conclusion
In war of pride; will not fight
Falseness seeming out of sight
Forgive yet never forget
Take until point no regret
Smile and curtsy, no more show
Fully discovered, "next in row"

Uh, I don't know how to say this, but every poem lately kinda sounds like a telegram to me. This is kinda how I hear them

Innocence proved only show
Signs all read -stop-, devoured slow
Blindness faked in vivid world-stop-
Transparent mask upon girl -stop-
Lessons taught through history
Feed a mind-stop-

Get what I mean? The lack of pronouns isn't workin for me. I'm sorry I couldn't be more positive. I feel bad.

"Lustful, must be an illusion"

..sometimes it feels like "lust" is the only thing that isn't an illusion...as long as it isn't

mistaken for love.

kudos times kudos

You are one tall drink of water girl. Your legs go on for days in your profile pic. This poem can be fun and whimsical, or deep and sadly the story of my life in some parts. But even in those moments of hopeless despair, I draw in a deep breath of air, and behold my Audrey who is always there. Excellent, rhythm, rhyme, and cadence. A thousand kudos.

the duality represented in what you wrote fascinated me, it was a too anf fro, like the id vs ego.. you kept the tone by keeping rhyme.. and it wasnt even suessy.. i dig! nice piece... two tumbs up

I get the bitter after-taste from this of the realisation that abusers come in many disguises, and that sometimes the lesson is SO hard to learn because of it.

I love you my dear friend.
