Vacant Hole

Memories fill this vacant hole
A lonely corridor

Once full of flowers
Tirelessly planted by your seed
Irrigated with your scent

Your aroma capsized me
Encapsulated my morals
I offered them to you within a gelatin case
Needing you to break inside

I begged you to enter
To consume each with a desperate force

The potent medication sedated you
And you lovingly slept within walls
That once stood painted with your artistic touch
Now left hopelessly naked of your graffiti

Sometimes
When I close my eyes
I blindly search the barren hallways
Of a space once illuminated with your scent
Now dark

Void of your passionate color

Pleasure is felt

But only as faint

As the memories

That fill this vacant hole

It is a new word to describe my work - and it is an amazing adjective.  I really like it and think I may just use it as a description myself..... copyrighted??? :)

so well built within these arts of words...
scribed to these pages, your experience sincere,

Wow, that is a powerful write. Yes I can see the erotic analogy of the actual "vacant hole", but i can see another much more profound analogy. He filled the "vacant hole" in your heart and when he left  there was only a dark void, leaving your heart hollow, blank. There is so much imagery here in both the graphic as well as the ethereal. You speak of being naked of his graffiti,,,, he painted the walls with his graffiti like an artist. He was a great lover who left his mark but after he was gone it faded to a faint memory. The hallways are now "Barren" could be a reference to the womb now being barren, dried as if a desert. I love the reference to his seed being irrigated by his scent. That your lonely corridors were once filled with flowers, a reference to the freshness of youth, the freshness of innocence. Most important of all,  you begged him to fill you, you sedated him, lulled him to sleep. However you yourself were "capsized" by his aroma, his pheromone, his sex scent. His scent turned your world upside down. It encapsulated your morals, covering them, causing a complete reversal of what you believed to be right and wrong. A paradigm shift. Love and lust has brought many of us to our Waterloo. This is a fantastic write of both imagery and raw, sexual passion. You can smell sex in the air, feel it on your skin. Yet you can see through out the thin thread of imagery creating a vision of a heart left cold, of lost innocence and virginity. Great write Audrey, you amaze!

You are the goddess of senuality, my friend. I you never fail to lay me out with racing impulsies surging with the images you've granted. I have no idea what medication could keep a man away from welcome. I don't think that hemlock would do it for me. Thank you my gifted Lady.
