Vacant Hole
Memories fill this vacant hole
A lonely corridor
Once full of flowers
Tirelessly planted by your seed
Irrigated with your scent
Your aroma capsized me
Encapsulated my morals
I offered them to you within a gelatin case
Needing you to break inside
I begged you to enter
To consume each with a desperate force
The potent medication sedated you
And you lovingly slept within walls
That once stood painted with your artistic touch
Now left hopelessly naked of your graffiti
Sometimes
When I close my eyes
I blindly search the barren hallways
Of a space once illuminated with your scent
Now dark
Void of your passionate color
Pleasure is felt
But only as faint
As the memories
That fill this vacant hole
