Current mood:  accomplished
as u may have read, i traded and sold a few items on ebay and then took the cash and a bad vehicle and traded for a really reeally cool 1983 Toyota Dolphin Motor Home...

it had alot of interior and exterior issues... mechanically pretty sound though...

I loved that toyota so much... put a month of work into it.... it started having fuel issues and one mechanic wanted $$500.00  just to take off the gas tank.

in the interest of trading  up...  I wrote over 100 emails offering to trade the toyota for vehicles of greater value... especially jeeps or toyota 4x4 trucks...

I found a 1985 jeep cj7 on craigslist for $4,000.00 firm, wrote him the offer, this particular jeep owner was only selling his jeep to buy a camper!

So, I met up with the guy  we each inspected the vehicles... and he said he wanted to think about it...(not a good sign)   later that night i got an email saying he wanted my toyota + $1000  for the jeep...   due to the fuel problem...

I crawled under the toyota this morning...found a frayed rubber gas line... and a really grimey fuel filter... i cut the freyed part off the gas line and tightened the hose clamps back down on a new fuel filter (for 4 dollars and 5 minutes of my time) and fixed the problem...

I called the guy up and he was down with an even trade since i fixed the issue...

the toyota drove so perfect after that i was almost afraid i was going to back out on the guy...       i miss that crazy fun factory on wheels...

just today i had 5 other jeep drivers wave at my  cj7... later i found out that all jeep drivers have a sideways wave like a secret handshake or something...  this is crazy.

an old friend told me that
JEEP
stands for Just Empty Every Pocket.

Look up a Jeep cj7 on Ebay...

now find one HUGELY LIFTED with 71,000 ORIGINAL MILES! on a straight 6 motor!

If i Do some small repairs I am confident I can get 5 thousand bucks for this thing...

The Title is clean and the Mileage is original/accurate.

I get an email from the guy who traded and it turns out the dolphin broke a fan belt on its way home!

the other guy already fixed it...

i got the jeep home after blowing a fuse trying to charge my phone and blaze the offroad lights at the same time....

Project Vehicles...  you gotta love em.

Anybody have anything of equal or greater comedic or intrinsic value  looking for a nice classic jeep?

Trading UP ROCKS!

you just better be ready to write a big buttload of emails...

Good story.

i have been told that the two happiest days in a man's life are

1. when he buys a boat

2. when he sells it!
