During the past two weeks I have been performing at some "Open Mike" evenings in New York City. The first place I went to was the Sidewalk Cafe in the East Village. I played one song and got a nice reception (the audience was singing along with "As the World Spins Around."  A few days later I went to Tillie's, a cafe in Brooklyn, and played two songs. This week I went to Under St. Marks in the East Village and did another performance.

I was encouraged by the experience and come back to these places again in the coming new year. So, if you are in New York City visit these venues to hear some new independent music and maybe bump into me too!
