Category: Parties and Nightlife

Yes, ladies & gentlemen, it's the return of the Great San Proper Festival starting tonight, the official birthday is today, though this festival lasts 'til sunday-morning like it oughta...

We'll start off tonight at the Melkweg with a classic: 'The Washing Powder Conspiracy' by one most innovating theater collectives of the Netherlands, PIPS:LAB, accompanied by Proper's selection of theatrical tunes beforehand and afterwards.

Thursday we'll continue the fest at Sugar Factory's Vreemd, for tomorrow it's the official release-party of the latest 12inch on Soulrock records "Hupsers & Kletsers for life!" by San Proper & Steven de Peven, playing their choice of instant immaculate haunting House-classics together with Steffi.

Friday, from 9pm 'til midnight there's another showcase of music and performance at the Melkweg theater entitled 'Blikopener' with a dj-set by Proper, but also a recommendable live-show by Steye and his band. At midnight we'll continue the ride at Paradiso's Cheese with Ans Jovisch, Agaath Dood and Dr. Kukident throwing us a slumber-party upstairs for the senile and elderly 'til six in the morning.

Saturday, part of the birthday-crew will head on down to Paradiso again to support Tom Trago in winning 'De Grote Prijs van Nederland' this year, though the real party starts at midnight and is happening at Studio 80 where the Lofar-media-gang are doing their Redevice clubnight with 'A GUY CALLED GERALD' in the main room and a smashing dj-set by your electric 'Le Pop- Non Stop'-duo, Trago & Proper, in the next room, which will be followed up by some sunday-morning glory at someone's place to bumrush the show.

Enjoy...
