June Newsletter - 2008
Here's another update for all of my hard working friends:
NEXT WEEK
You've been wanting to rock out with us but don't want to go to the bar or stay up late...come to Island Park for the 2008 Hometown Music Festival. HMF is sponsored by White Noise Productions and The Bush Radio. It's a FREE event that features local bands from the Central Michigan area. The show starts at 1:00pm and goes until 10:00pm. We are currently scheduled to play at 6:00pm but get there early to support the other great bands. I'll be hanging out there all day making some live recordings and visiting with everyone.
LAST MONTH
We played in Saginaw at the Hamilton Street Pub with Milligram Smile, PHI, and Nervz End. This show was a therevolutionmusic.com showcase and all the bands really rocked it out. Thanks to everyone who came and to the other great bands for making a memorable show.
We played at The Ritz in Detroit last weekend with Red September and Sweet Assault. Those bands really rocked it and we were honored to follow up with some attitude rock. That was a late night for me. I made it home with a unique blend of Tim Horton's and Wolfmother (thanks Jerry). Nothing like getting home from a night of rock when the sun is coming up. I'm still recuperating.
THIS MONTH
We've got the Hometown Music Festival at Island Park in Mt. Pleasant to do next week and I'm really excited! This was a great show last year and with the current lineup I'm expecting this one to be even better. We play around 6:00pm and it FREE!!! We'll keep it all-ages friendly so the kiddies can get a taste of something real.
We are playing at Rubbles in Mt. Pleasant on June 27th. I'm still working on an opener for that show. Check the schedule to keep up to date…
VOTING
We don't know the results of the voting yet. The awards ceremony was scheduled for May 12th but due to a venue complication it got moved to June 16th. I'll keep you posted.
RADIO
I'm still hearing some QK spins on The Bush! Radio. These guys are doing a great job promoting the music scene in this area. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/thebushradio .
As always, thank you for your support!
