Welcome to the Sedition DJs Weekly Newsletter providing information on where you can catch our DJs playing in London and elsewhere over the coming weekend. A big thank you to everyone who came down to Sedition Presents at Egg last Saturday – look out for news on the next instalment and other events we're planning soon.

It's the big Bank Holiday weekend ahead and no shortage of great events from SW4 and Get Loaded in the Park to the Notting Hill Carnival and some of the best club nights around. Sedition DJs will be fully represented at the Gifted presents... Notting Hill Carnival parties taking place at The Skiddaw on Sunday and Monday with free admission on both days.

Bacardi have recently launched their new website and as well as a competition to win festival tickets around the world, they are offering free music downloads from established and up-and-coming artists. Streetlife DJs are this month's featured artists, while Graeme Lloyd with 'Can't Give Up' and Rick Maia with 'Makes Sense' are also featured – check it out at http://www.bacardi.com

Every week we'll be presenting a guest mix from the Sedition DJs roster for you to enjoy. This week it's the turn of Tania von Pear and something different with her 'Deep Space Nine' mix – check it out at http://www.seditiondjs.com../mixes/Tania_von_Pear_Deep.._Space_Nine_Mix_August_200..9.mp3

Forthcoming events...

GIFTED PRESENTS...

Sunday & Monday, August 30-31 – The Skiddaw, 46 Chippenham Road, London W9

Gifted presents... will be hosting their infamous Notting Hill Carnival parties at The Skiddaw over the Bank Holiday weekend and anyone who was there last year will remember they were pretty special. What helps make the Carnival so great is that it's a chance to party somewhere a little different, meet up with friends and generally not take things too seriously. That's exactly what the Gifted guys have in store with two days of dancing for free running from 4pm till 10:30pm on Sunday and 4pm till midnight on Monday – what's more, the music will be outside until 9pm on both days.

Sedition DJs will be heavily involved again this year with Rick Maia and WePlayCDs joining Kerry Wallace, Adam James and Clayton K playing back-to-back with Skee on Sunday and Tania von Pear and Welfare For The Digital joining Anthony Roachman, Headspace and Steve Mahoney on Monday. Expect reasonably priced drinks, barbecue, free admission and good vibes all set in the surroundings of a charming bohemian pub! The suggested dress code is large Hawaiian shirts for the boys and rude gal chic for the girls, and you can find the Skiddaw on the junction of Elgin Avenue and Chippenham Road at the Westbourne Park end of the Carnival route.

GOLDFISH

Saturday, August 29 – The Den & Centro, 18 West Central High Street, London WC1

Goldfish have been putting on some fantastic parties around town recently at venues like Pacha and Ghost, but tonight they take over The Den & Centro for the first time. Playing upfront pumpin' house in the main room will be Tania von Pear, Rick Maia and resident Cesar R, while there's an electro, pop and disco mash-up in the lounge with the guys from Word featuring Prince Nelly, Jamie D Winter, Nic Liu and Rokk. Upstairs in Centro there's a more commercial dance soundtrack with Niroshan and Karlo Scarpelli as well as live music, and look out for special drinks promotions and Goldfish giveaways on the night.

SW4 AFTER PARTY

Saturday, August 29 – Rinky Dink, 38 Clapham High Street, London SW4

There's going to be loads of places to continue the party after the SW4 festival but Rinky Dink on Clapham High Street looks like being great fun. This stylish bar is just five minutes walk from Clapham Common and open till 2am with free admission all night. Supplying a soundtrack of quality house music old and new will be Tania von Pear, David Daniel and Jon Vertis. Rumour has it that London clubbing legend Damian Isaacs will also make a return to the decks.
