Happy St. Patrick’s day to everyone!

p.s. I’m getting a lot of "Happy St. Patty’s day" wishes, my only questions is who the hell is St. Patty? Patty is feminine, Paddy is masculine and comes from the gaelic word Pádraig (Patrick).

Yeah well a lot of those "Irish for a day" people don't know the difference. To them it's all the same. Just pity their lack of knowledge, pat them on the head (or pad them on the head...as the case may be...pun fully intended), give them another green beer, and send them on their merry little way.

Patty is Patrick's little known half-sister. Although she never rose to the promience of her elder brother or was beatified, Patty did provide the Irish with a valuable service when she drove all the elephants out of Ireland. It may not seem like much, but Ireland is just a wee island and if you've seen a field full of horse patties, well, you can imagine what as pasture full of elephants would do. - John

I heard the celebration was for St. Padraig running the Druids out of Ireland...is that so?

Yes, this is true. See, there were never any snakes - as we know snakes - in Ireland. The "snakes" spoke about were the Pagans and their ways. St. Patrick is said to be the one to "christianize" Ireland. (If he would have just left it alone, well, we know Ireland's history and that speaks for itself.)
