hey, got an email from jammin java the day be4 and i THOUGHT I recognized the name...
hmmm...Don Dixon is playing monday night....
sign me up.
i'd say a better producer than singer, but he was talented and had some soul. the other dude who's "older than dirt from LA plays a wicked axe, and the two combined ruled....sorry 4 the runon...
but 1 pet peeve... he friggin chewed gum the ENTIRE time onstage, even whilst singing...WTF?
oh well, just thought it was cool to say hi afterwards and let him know that emmet still isn't dead.
but pleeeez guys, we need a summer show, it's been too long since devine's!
(Dixon had a bunch of friends there talking so i didn't have much time but he basically said, "oh yeah...emmet swimming..i love them!...are they still together...?"
-yeah, unfortunately they all "grew up" and got "real jobs..." but such is life, i'm getting old 2...(30!?...still act 16-19 most of the time!) they get together a few times a year or so and it's always packed, you know...
