listen hereDubfire's SCI+TEC Digital Audio label drop something special, Following on from Timo Maas and Santos's 'Inside/Outside' under their Mutant Clan moniker, the imprint bring us yet another debut. This time, from Sian.
Born in Dublin Ireland, and raised gypsy style in southern Spain, moving from city to city, Sian chose to drop out of society and follow his calling. Music and the arts. An original Irish 'bad boy', the flamboyant and eccentric DJ/Producer has out partied the best, and over the years become best friends with each new sunrise.
Known for his unique flair behind the decks, Sian's DJ'ing adventures have spanned all continents and taken in some of the finest clubs and nights the scene has to offer.
His releases and remixes on labels including Pokerflat, Karmarouge, Dessous, Mule and Aus, have won him an army of fans. The respect of his peers has also seen them step up to remix his work. Steve Bug's remix of 'Sei' and Efdemin's reworking of 'Appletree' have spread the Sian gospel even further, and also garnered huge press support throughout Europe and beyond.
Sian also owns and co-runs (alongside label manager Mirus) the Octopus label. A young and inspiring label, it has already worked with such esteemed names as 3 Channels, Ripperton, Gui Boratto, Herve AK, and Axel Bartsch, and a host of bright new talent such as Calculus, Arnaud le Texier and Sebastian Roya.
Today's release see's Sian serve up two mighty slabs of heavy, warped techno. Skeleton and Tornado Bait both live up to their names, and are perfect for shattering those mainroom floors.
On remix duty Dubfire has drafted in one of his favourite production teams Pan-Pot. Mobilee artists Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix have, since their 2005 debut release, become an integral player in the Berlin and World, house and techno scene. Their productions and remixes for labels such as Mobilee, CMYK Musik, Enliven Music, Einmaleins Musik and Mo's Ferry have seen them become one of the most sought after DJ and Production teams of today.
Their remix of Skeleton is something to behold, and is set to go down as one of their finest to date. A heavy bottom end makes for floor shaker of epic proportions. A perfect way to round off a sublime debut release from Sian.
