August the first was a great day.
There was I DJ'ing at one of the best clubs in the world Zouk in Singapore, in the middle of my set when I got a text, infact about 8 texts telling me the tune I had just written and produced with Natasha Low (or is it lo?) had just been made Pete Tongs essential new tune.
This is a big deal! Not only was it essential new tune, but it came a year to the day that I was last essential new tune with my Edison remix of Nerina Pallots 'Peg'. Last year, like this I received a bunch of texts telling me so, except last year I was laying in a hospital bed in Jersey having broken a vertebrate in my back a few hours before....what a difference a year makes.
I Love Singapore, I Love Zouk, its official! Massive respect going out to Chris R (Mr Chris) Tony, Brandon, DJ B, Lincoln and everyone else who treated me so well there.

In January I thought I would write a blog every week, updating my studio progress that week. That was a stupid idea. I work all the time how could ever keep up a blog. Nevertheless in keeping with the tradition:

So far in August I have mostly been worked with Yousef, Paolo Mojo, Nic Fanciulli, Skylark, ME, a band called Dead Kids, Duke of New York, Addictive, Paul Harris.

Tomorrow I have the rising star Clinton Brown in the studio, we are going make the other side to 'Performative' a track we did together a few months ago.
