hey guys,

we've currently been in full on-writing/practicing/revamping mode for next year's craziness. what does that entail? well, for one we've been trying to figure out what we can do for our live show to make it really memorable. a lot of people miss some of the craziness that we see while up on stage and we are working on more fun and interesting ways to utilize all of our samples and electronics. dave and i are meeting to work out some possibilities for these. we'll definitely post some pictures from that so you can get a better idea of what we're talking about.

we're also getting some more reviews in for record profits. the newest one is from alternative press pretty exciting stuff!

also, if you have yet to get your hands on the new record you can get it HERE.

we're also working on getting a streetteam together and building up a nice forum section and everything on our website so you guys can relate to us more directly. we eventually want to have contests, flyers and everything up on that site so we can relate to YOU more directly as well. we are also getting our own webstore going so it'll be easier to order directly from the band. we'll be adding new merch soon including some *gasp* vinyl! more details to follow.

and since we've been looking around for some interesting and unique midi controllers it's time for some electronic geekery....

have you guys heard of the haken continuum fingerboard? it sounds pretty amazing, right? like it could cure cancer, make women fall in love with you and potentially turn you into a science fiction super hero simply by owning it. well, i gotta say that i was kind of disappointed by what i've researched on it so far. firstly, it looks like something that might belong with your grandma's sewing set. it doesn't really have anything crazy cool and sci-fi looking about it. see? (it's the red & black thing btw)

the demo from NAMM 07 wasn't helping the continuum fingerboard either:NAMM DEMO

firstly they have a super boring guy talking about it. secondly, they have the lamest sound ever for the demo. i mean seriously. it sounds like something that would come out of kenny g's sax. and then the music demo at the end? wow. yawntastic. i just don't see myself rocking one of these undoubtedly overpriced bad boys live.

have you guys heard of or seen any really cool electronic instruments? if so let us know! we'd love to check them out....
love & respect,
sara

Glad to hear about the activity. I just wanted to say, I am a freelance web developer and if you (or whoever you have working on it) need some help I could offer my services in exchange for a little experience and the ability to tell people I worked on it!

for non-boring continuum fingerboard playing, search for Lucibel Crater on youtube, and check out some vids, esp "Masticate"

You can make it yourself and midi it to a synth.

Just don't play as shitty as him.

I am trying my hardest to find the name of this synth that is only played by faders like what you may find in a mixer or turntables, there is no keyboard; it's awesome.
