This Friday see's an all star line up of bands take to the Canteen stage for the Anti Pop 2009 tour. Topping the bill Tommy Scott, the man behind chart topping group Space descends on Barrow in Furness with a headline performance from his new band The Drellas. A fantastic live act, The Drellas have gained a reputation for a band with a sound all of their own; dark, heavy and truly experimental. Called “The Drellas” after Andy Warhols nickname for Lou Reed, this band fit the same description says Tommy Scott, ‘part Cinderella, part Dracula’.

Joining The Drellas, one of Ireland's hotty tipped acts The Dead Class showcase their brilliantly crafted blend of pop with punk rock, folk and ska. Their live shows have gained them a fan across the UK. The Dead Class are set for big thing so don't miss out on their show at the Canteen! Kick starting the event on Friday will be local hero's The Mooncats who needless to say always deliver.

The show starts at 7pm and goes on til late. Tickets are priced at £5 on the door.
