Current mood:disbelief
Words cannot express how deeply shocked I am.  We're all just in utter disbelief.  Stunned sadness.

The moments at ringside felt an eternity.  Never, in my life, have I wanted the fighting spirit to jump into someone's being more than I wanted tonight.  The fans chanted Misawa, Misawa, Misawa.  They wanted their Hero to get up so fucking bad.  Just get up.  Come on!  You're too tough for this.  Too strong.  I grabbed his boots and held onto them til they took him away.

My heart goes out to his family.  His students.  His peers.  His friends.  His fans.  His opponents tonight and his partner.  It was a freak accident.  No one is at fault.

Rest in Peace Shacho.

Damn. I was fortunate enough to see Misawa wrestle live against KENTA at ROH: Glory By Honor Night 2. It may compare to some of his classic matches, but seeing the legend live was good enough for me. For him to go the way he did...I'm deeply sadden. 1/3 of the "Holy Trinity" of Puroesu sadly gone, but never forgotten.

Rest In Peace Mitsuharu Misawa.

Misawa was an inspiration for young Wrestlers.
I have never been able to watch a lot of Japanese Matches here in Germany. But the few Tapes i have seen, misawa was one of the Best. From the 90's until now, Misawa was a Guarantee that a Match is going to be good One.
May your Spirit live forever in Our Hearts and the Wrestling-Fans all over the World, Misawa-San

I can't believe it.  One of the all-time greats in the history of Japanese professional wrestling.  I was hoping to meet him in person back in April 2009 during the Cauliflower Alley Club convention.  Now all I have is memories, an action figure, and matches on videotape on DVD.

RIP, Misawa-san.

WOW Pres Michael Wright

I don't even have the words. If it wasn't for Misawa, I would've never started trading tapes in the early 90's and gotten to know what GREAT wrestling was instead of the Hogan-Warrior crap we got. It ignited me to get trained and try to be a good WRESTLER, which is what it's all about. R.I.P. Misawa. Misawa-Kawada 6-5-94 will always be the greatest singles match in history. Just...in shock...hang in there Chris, this has to be impossible for you. I watched a fellow workers leg break in half last year and thought that was just horrific but this I couldn't even imagine. I'm so fucking sorry dude.

I heard of the tragic news and im not going to lie, i cried like a little baby. Misawa was the reason i feel in love with Puroresu and made pro wrestling my passion. I regret the day i choose to see TNA Live over NOAH. I never got the honour or privledge to see him live but i am thankful i watched him for all these years and that i knew of his legend. I am know watching his legendary matches with Kawada and Kobashi, and every second i think of how great and talented he was. Misawa your spirit lives on inside all your fans and peers. Thank you for all the matches and moments you provided us with and that we will cherrish forever. You will never be forgoten.

Without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. An accomplished competitor, promoter, and teacher. Mitsuharu Misawa innovator of the Emerald Flowsion and the master of the elbow strike. A sad and sudden loss possibly the most tragic associated with in ring disaster. He will truly be missed.
