(from www.desadesadesa.com) After nearly six years, Barry Krippene has stepped away from his role in DESA. While we'll miss him a lot, we understand his decision. Barry has a family in Lodi, CA and was driving 140 miles round trip twice a week to practice. He has decided it's time to move on and to stay close to home. We couldn't be more excited, however, about our latest addition. Taking over bass duties will be Steven's brother, Brett Heet. Brett has mixed sound for DESA a few times, he's a phenomenal bassist, he plays it with his fingers and he's got awesome hair. He also shares common DNA with Steven, so if either of them ever need a transplant, we'll have it covered! Please do us a big favor and come out April 19th to Bottom of the Hill for Brett's debut show. We go on at 10pm sharp, stick around after to see Built for the Sea and Facing New York and to buy Brett a welcome-to-the-band drink!
