"Ken Webster has just about perfected the art of picking plays for Hyde Park Theatre that are fresh, darkly comic and challenging but also perfectly suited to his direction and casting. . . Webster's direction and the performances from Joey Hood and Liz Fisher make it a great production . . . Fisher and Hood are positively captivating."

"Hood, a Hyde Park Theatre Core Company member, does an excellent turn as the conflicted, slacker son of a father he both loathes and cannot shake his dedication to. Fisher, one of Austin’s very best actors, is highly convincing as the equally conflicted sibling trying to convince herself and her brother that her path—escape—was the better choice."
"Both are wonderful physical comedians, fluid in motion, comfortable inhabiting their characters. Each gets in plenty of hilarious zingers, too."

"Hyde Park Theatre, fresh off a very successful FronteraFest, brings this complex production to the stage with the help of Austin theater veteran (and winner of more awards than just about any other person in town) Ken Webster, and two major talents, Joey Hood, who has been seen in numerous productions for Hyde Park, and Liz Fisher. Fisher’s brilliant talent at bringing to life strong female characters comes in very handy for her role as Lily, the uptown hipster who is returning to her Ohio hometown after years away in New York, to be met with a down-and-out brother, a legion of Jell-o molds, and a hidden secret that could upturn the entire applecart. Hood plays Danny, who is forced to stay with their hateful father as he slowly slips into insanity, a father who, in his last days, writes his last will and testament on a roll of toilet paper."
" We become so involved with the characters, and so attached in such a short time."
"What truly makes this play hit as hard as it does is the fact that it seems so real to life, that the lives we see before us are the lives of people we know, or even mirrored versions of ourselves. It does what great theater should do: shine a light on to the hidden parts within us all, giving us an honest, unflinching look at what true humanity can be."
"...will stay with you for days."
