Yesterday morning I had my alarm set to get up at the VERY last second..with just enouph time to get to work..my first day back after a great tour in the WARM part of the country..Something jarred me out of my deep deep slumber. I opened my eyes and to my suprise, I'm staring deep into the black beedy eyes of a young squirrel standing 3 inches from my noise. The sun is rising through my window behind my new bed mate, silhouetting his fidgeting, twitching tail. Signaling to me that he was probably as shocked by my presence as me his. The TV is reflecting dancing bits of light in his little black eyes. I was slowly trying to edge my arm over to cover my face before he can scratch my eyes out. Right then he turns and flits out my window. I thought to myself..how many times has he, uninterrupted, been in my room while I was on tour?! I'M the intuder to him perhaps. Needless to say, I did NOT go back to sleep and cursed the little squirrel when my alarm went off while I was lying, stairing at the ceiling while  visions of squirrels danced in my head.

That's so cute, I'm ready to kill all the squirrels that have decided that my walls will make a good home for the winter.

We like the squirrels.
Well, I was mad at them for a while, when they chewed off the flower pods of my giant sunflowers and took them to their secret places to feast.
Maybe they took the pods into the room.

haha...I like this story! Once I woke up with a huge waterbug crawling on my arm...that scared the fuck out of me!
So yeah, squirrels are kinda cute until they're near your face.

I have a similar story ... BUT WITH A BAT!!! Do you know what makes that worse? It happened twice in the same month, lol. I think they come in from my upstairs. I closed it up and have not been there since June, lol. I killed the first one with a pizza pan while it flew, my boy (kitty) Semos killed the second one and laid it next to my pillow as I slept. It spurred me to buy an air rifle, I am a very good shot ... damn bats.
