Dear All
I hope you have all had a good Holiday and that this will be a prosperous New Year for all.
Latest Parish Notices
Recordings
- Work on the held-up Deus Ignotus continues apace at Retina II studios and we are now in the final stages of the mixing, a complex task as sections of some of the songs date back as far as 2002! Mastering will follow soon. I am still decided on issuing this magnum opus on my own label, Epiphany, though may consider otherwise if offered vast sums of money by any labels courageous/foolhardy enough to want to issue it.
- The Kraken, the projected 7” with Brown Sierra on Dais Records, now looks set to be a 12” with another track by Brown Sierra and – possibly – one of the original, improvised takes from Thalassocracy.
- The Cruellest Month the long awaited new studio album from Sol Invictus is nearing completion, I recorded a few vocals for this, but having not yet head it can’t yet testify to which bits have survived the cutting room floor! Rest assured that if it doesn’t meet with my satisfaction I will unleash my straw-chewing be-smocked minions on Tursa House to wave their cudgels and sing interminable ballads through the letterbox ;) !
- The harmonium part of my track In Upper Room (from Deus Ignotus) has been given the Marco magic and will be appearing in some form or other (with Italian vocals) as a Foresta Di Ferro track, I will put up details as & when I know about its release.

Last but not Least
When The Amfortas Wound was initially made available as an official download via Woven Wheat Whispers it was possible for those who bought it to download a PDF of the booklet and lyrics, since that site folded this PDF hasn’t been available, but a number of people have subsequently bought legitimate copies (thank you) of this album via itunes or other authorised sources, if you are one of those people and would like the booklet PDF, please send me your email and I will send it to you. Incidentally, a big thank you to the site RapidShare who immediately took down the fraudulent files of Ghosts that a “fan” had put up, it’s nice to find a site that does respect copyright.
On a happier note, I’m delighted to report that Thalassocracy was named as Album of the Year by Cory Card on the website Foxy Digitalis (see half way down the page, after the lamppost, at: http://www.foxydigitalis.com/foxyd/features.php?which=358 ) thank you Cory, a much needed thumbs up after it was ignored by ALL the English folk magazines, what is their problem with field-recordings, music concrète, and electo-acoustic tone generators!
Anyway, on that note I’ll end
Hopefully see some of you at one or other of the forthcoming concerts.
Best
Andrew
