It's already April, and I can't believe how fast days are passing. Just a few months ago we were sitting in a room wondering how we were gonna get people to get off their futons and come out to our shows. But, look at all that we've accomplished in just a year: Barack Obama became President of the United States, almost the entire Yankee baseball team was found guilty of using steroids and 4 dudes from the Bronx/ Washington Heights, NY made a kick-ass rock album!

No, but seriously, thanks to all of you who came out and supported our shows in NYC (D'Antigua & The Annex). We had a blast. We got to meet some really interesting people who introduced us to a whole world of Rock within the streets of NY. A big shout out to Cesar Camacho, Yeli Laverde, Ramon Pimentel, Jess Glick, Diego Vallejo, Mario Torres Vazquez (AOL Latino) & of course Porfirio Piña (BMI). We want to thank all of you for helping us get the word out about "the movement". Oh, you seem surprised. YES, this is a movement, like those brought forth by Andy Warhol & John Lennon, Taxi Amarillo is a movement. With our new self-titled album (now available online through WWW.TAXIAMARILLO.COM ) we bring you words and music charged with the essence of our time and will continue to do so. And with this monthly newsletter of sorts we will be bringing you as many other bits of new information about our activities as we can.

MARCH

We taped for Telemundo 47 Noticiero's 'Cine, Musica y Mas' which will air sometime between April & May 8th. We did an interview on NY1 Noticias with the beautiful Carleth Keys, which you can go see at ny1noticias.com right now. We also had the privilege of doing our first interview with the nice people at EFE for all Spanish speaking press which was also lots fun.

If you didn't already notice, Taxi Amarillo's bassist/musical-mastermind Steve "STYLES" Rodriguez has been missing from our recent TV & Radio appearances and this is due to him being out on tour with none other than Pop Icon Britney Spears' Circus. In the mean time my big brother Henry (aka Henrito) is holding down the bass spot and has been doing an exceptional job at it, kudos broham. Steve, we miss you like crazy bro and need you here to make us puke from laughter again. Check him out when they go to your town people, it's really a Circus. And to the haters, Steve did not quit the band; he will be with us at our HRC show on May. Jesus!

UPDATE

For those of you who missed our March shows, worry not, there will be more shows in the city. April 6th we will be in Mamajuana Cafe (247 Dyckman St New York, NY10034) performing an acoustic set of our songs and we may even have some guest performances (who knows?!). Also, on May 8th we will be playing at Hudson River Cafe (697 W 133rd StNew York, NY10027) and that show will NOT be acoustic so get ready to rock your socks off that night, I mean, were sharing the stage with Sonido Secreto for God sakes. If you don't wear socks, you should, unless you're wearing chanclas or how Steve likes to call 'em "Chanks". Just make sure you come see us live so you get the real TA experience. To register for this show go to the Jack Daniels Studio No.7 webpage:

See you there!

PEACE
