Hi there - I know...I know...it's been a long while since I've said 'boo' to any of my friends on Myspace and I'm sadly out of the loop when it comes to keeping up with all the new projects of my artist friends here. But I have been thinking of (and missing!) so many of you and I am attempting to get back into the swing of things and back into the creative loop personally.
The autumn season may not be the usual point in the cycle to restart one's energy but I can't think of a better time for me; the fall being my favourite time of the year. That being said; I actually have a couple new pieces to share! Below are pics of a customized mask that I've just finished. This was a project that I accepted some time ago through a friend here on Myspace; it is for her Gothic/Edwardian style wedding which will take place later this month. At some point during the ceremony, the groom will be donning this Raven Mask - I can't wait to see photos of the wedding!
Next...we all know what's just around the corner...Hallowe'en! My personal favourite festivity of the year!! And here's an early treat - a fellow artist has graciously gathered several talented artists to take part in a virtual Hallowe'en Artist Studio Tour. Soft sculpture artist, Karen Waschinskik, of Scratching At the Window, who I met in person at the Guelph Faery Festival, kindly invited me to take part in the tour. Clicking the poster image below will take you to the site. Enjoy having a look around - I have a small dragon sculpture available for purchase there myself, but you might have to search a bit to find it! One really great thing - benefits from this virtual Hallowe'en tour go towards "Bat Conservation International."
