Indeed, my first entry is about an unusual prize.

Tonight, as is custom, I participated in the rather excellent Dizzy's Pub Quiz.  Dizzy's is at Queen's magic roundabout.  It is very nice.  The quiz is done by my mate Alan and all proceeds to charity, which is cool.

My sister, James, Victoria and myself put our thinking caps on, and.... no, we did not win.  We weren't even close.  But we did well.  Well, better than Jodz and i usually do. That is to say, we were not winners of the usual booby prize, an extremely heinous vinyl. (I proudly display my Max Bygraves on my wall, though I never intend on listening to it!)

However, in the traditional end of quiz raffle, I did manage to win a prize.  
No, it wasn't either of the bottles of wine.
Nor was it the Carlsberg tshirts.
And no, I did not win the much-coveted pair of Sport Relief socks.

I won... 2 vacuum-packed Arbroath Smokeys. 
Which, to you and me, means I won 2 smelly fish.
