The Lies about My Father's Dance-Locking and whose lying!!!!
Body: This is a long time coming. I have to get this off my chest cause now it's causing me to lose gigs in other countries and have people questioning my father's status as the Sole Creator of Locking.I keep seeing pictures of these liars and it's making me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just googled the web to see how many lies keep coming up and whose telling these lies. It's goes back to the same 2 people. One of them has gone to other countries and told people that he's my father, he's father's brother, he's a relative or a close friend of my father . Plus he tells people that he even created some of the steps are considered locking and he wasn't even an original member of the Campbellock dancers.

He got lucky cause he was in the 2nd group that got on TV.That person's Goverment Name is Greg Pope. Everybody knows him a Greg "Campbellock,Jr". He changed his name so people think he's related or really has something to do with my father and his dance. He's also one of three so-called original Lockers who helped destroy the group. A group which my father started and pick the guys for. It's wasn't that they all got together to form a group. My father specifically started this group and picked these cats

And He was given name "Campbellock,Jr." as a joke by Damita Jo Freeman cause he was trying really hard to "Copy" my father. Nowadays, It's called Biting. Backing then it was called "Copying".

The other cat is James Higgins aka Original Skeeter Rabbit. He came out of nowhere 4 years ago talking about what he contributed to the dance and what his role in the lockers was. He along with Greg Pope created LockerLegends because they realized my father didn't have a presence on the internet so they could say what they wanted. That entire website is full of liars,false truths, and made up stories to diminish the contributions of my father, create bigger roles for themselves, and get them some shine.

Don't you ever wonder why the Lockers aren't together, Don't speak to each other, and why there are so many different ways Locking is being taught. It's because of greed and ego on the parts of these men and others who are in Hiphop for all the wrong reason.

I will clarify some of the things I read, have been asked, and hope people can handle the truth.

The Creator of Locking and the Lockers is my father Don"Campbellock"Campbell. My father created his dance an entire 2 years before the 2nd set of Campbellock Dancers or who people continue to call the Original Lockers. He was dancing in Nightclubs and on SoulTrain and got kicked off of SoulTrain because of His afflilation with Toni Basil. So he went and created a new group of dancers which where doing his dance that he had created and made a song about.-The Campbellock. So naturally since they were doing the Campbellock ,named after the dance my father created, they were called the Campbellock Dancers

There is no such thing as the original Lockers. Shabba Doo and Toni Basil weren't even original members of the 2nd group. Toni basil was my father's manager and girlfriend. And Shabba Doo was a stand in who had Greg Pope and Fluky Luke beg my father to let him in. Neither was Jimmy Foster aka Scooby Doo,He was just a dancer doing my father's dance after my father left Soultrain.James Higgins did one show as a stand in as well. But all of a sudden he has an entire history.

Somebody please tell me how someone, who has been out of the loop the entire time hiphop has been alive, can just appear 34 years later and be accepted and recognized for a history he made up?

All the steps that people keep claiming are actually Steps of Locking are all made up names used to explain a dance which is fully improvisational, made up on the fly, and has only one legitmate movement, which is the lock.

If you take the lock out of all those movements, you would just be doing those movements. Locking is more than just movements.It's has a theory and philosophy behind it that isn't reach the masses.

Cause if it does then it would make all the people who have been teaching it without the philospophy obsolete. Cause they really don't do this dance for the love of it. it's for the money. Their theory is who cares how you teach it, just as long as i get paid for teaching it.

All those other movements either where someone's signature move that was created out of the freestyle they where doing while locking, transitions steps that the other members could do together while someone was out doing a solo so they hand something to do, or movements taken for other dances such the split. the split is not a lockingmove. a split is a split which was around way before locking. As were knee drops and the whichaway, which are both part of russian folk dance.

There is no such thing as an Uncle Sam or the points. Somebody made the name up to try and explain it without knowing why it was done.

True Story: My father was at a nightclub doing his thing. some lady was laughing at him, so he pointed at her. She didn't like it. So he pointed at her again. She really didn't like it. And it stuck ever since. It didn't come from Uncle Sam. It came from my father improvising on the dance floor.

Which nowadays doesn't exist because everyone thinks they need to learn how to dance by going to a dance class. But when you get to class, they don't teach you how to dance. Instead of teaching you how to be creative, they teach your choreography they created so you ended looking like them instead of dancing like you.

The lies are really bad overseas now, which is where Greg Pope and James Higgins have made themselves know in Places my father hasn't been to yet. So My father sits here on My space,his own email.via the phone or meet people from thes countries and have to answer questions about lies that are being told in Countries he has never visited or them are telling him remember when you told me to keep my arms a certain way.

My father would never tell anyone that kind of stuff. Locking is about the freedom of the Individual. It's not about the specific steps cause technically there is only one step which is the Lock. So everything else that comes out is completely up to you.

Locking is a freestyle dance. And was Created as a Freestyle Dance. Just like every Hiphop dance that was every created are all freestyle dances.

I think I vented enough for tonight. But Know for sure I am not done. There are others too who are lying. Lots of them. But these cats are the ones lying the most.
