I really have to give it to Sony, I though that their hand-held game console the PlayStation Portable was dying for a few months now and I wasn't too sure if the PSP Go would help but I have to admit that I was wrong. The PSP section of the PlayStation store has flourished over the past weeks, not just for the new PSP Go but also for the older series of PSP. Sony has given me a reason to get out my old PSP 1000 with the huge store update. Sony has added a helluva a lot of PSP games and there is even a rumour that Sony are going to do some game rentals which is pretty cool since the PSP games are pretty short compared to home console games. The only thing that I'm not too sure about are the minis, I'm not saying that the games are bad but I'm wary at paying £4 for a mini game that may or may not be shit. Although I would like a demo or a trail period some of the games are classics like Tetris and Sudoku I'm not too worried as I can look on the internet before I buy a game from the minis section. A good friend of mine has post reviews on a few of them over at this portable gaming blog here.
I've also heard that Microsoft are looking into making an arcade room for the Xbox 360 avatar where they can play game with their friend. A bit like home but I must say if PlayStation Home had an arcade room with more than just a few games I would start going on it more as right now I only really play it when I fancy a game of bowling which I'm shit at but that's never bothered me. I just think it would be cool if there was a Pac-Man arcade tournament on Home or atleast something like that to make it a little bit more fun.
Since this post was about Sony I though I should tell you guys about this epic-ly awesome game that I'm really looking forward to called Dragon Age: Origins. It's a medieval fantasy role playing game developed by Bioware (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic & Mass Effect are some of there well known games) and it reminds me of a more violent version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. It's due out on the 22nd November 2009. Here's a link to the trailer over at ScrewAttack.
Thanks for reading, I'm going to play some Skate 2 now; the game is awesome by the way much better than any Town Hawk game.
Until next time,
Boni Boy Blue
