"PUCKER-UP AND PARTY"

GLASTONBURY MARKS MID-SUMMER WITH THE WORLD'S BIGGEST KISS AT LOST VAGUENESS

World Record Kiss

At 1.30AM on Sunday 24th June, 30,000 Glastonbury goers are expected to pucker-up and plant a smacker on the person next to them in the name of spreading a little love and breaking a new Guinness World Record.

"The Big Kiss" has been devised by Glastonbury institution Lost Vagueness and the world's biggest internet dating site, Match.com and will be spearheaded at Glastonbury by 80s popsters Madness who will be playing on the main Lost Vagueness stage as "The Big Kiss" takes place.

Sunday 24th June is midsummer's day, an event marked around the world as a big celebration. Lost Vagueness, which is expected to be at a full capacity of approximately 30,000, will come to a halt at 1.30AM as Madness, who play a very exclusive set beginning at Midnight, conclude their set.  Revellers will be directed by Madness frontman Suggs and by screens and hosts across Lost Vagueness to share a little love with their nearest and dearest. The aim is to trounce the current World Record of 6,400 couples, which was set in Hungary recently.

Roy Gurvitz, founder of Lost Vagueness is equally excited. "It will be so perfect for Midsummer's morning to share a little bit of happiness and love with the person next to you, all the while setting a record that will be recognised in the future. It's going to be an amazing sight."

When Suggs was approached by his Manager Garry Blackburn to take part in the Big Kiss, he replied, "As long as I don't have to kiss you!"
