Survival Of The Fittest

By Jus Rhymz

I stand before you as a man convinced

Of Darwin's evidence

That only the strong survive

And those that see relevance

In this world

In this earth

Should take heed to principles

That from birth

We mastered

Millions of sperm chased it

And only one got to taste it

Blessed to live life

Now millions waste it

Drunk in excuses

We construct our own nooses

Hanging in self defeat with useless

Self pity we are fruitless

Trees in a forest of plenty
if only we knew the evil of low expectations

Would we want any?

From working a dead end job

For an ungrateful snob

Because were too afraid to start a business

To fighting a war you know was based on a lie

And watching the torture of an innocent witness

Its all the same

The weak they end up in trouble

The strong they own the monopoly

Its all a game

You choose your fate in life

Your either winning or losing

Moving forward in life

Or regressing by your own choosing

Some of us wake up each day

With frowns on our faces

We were born to an oppressed sex

Or persecuted race it's

So easy to look at those who dominate

And prosper without effort

And be blind to the trials and tribulations

That face even the oppressor

You can have all the money in the world

And not have an answer for cancer

Commander and chief with an army worth billions

Yet be defeated by those with millions

Numbers mean nothing

Goliaths are bluffing

David's

Whether they are south African or Palestinian

With rocks and faith the size of a mustard seed

They succeed in the millennium

So to that 9 year old orphan

Whose parents were lost to drugs

To that Sudanese refugee

Who village was pillaged by thugs

To that Chinese activist

Fighting for democracy alone

To that American dissident

Fighting for democracy at home

Never give up on your dreams

Never give up on your hopes

Tyrants may rule temporarily

From the Saddaam's to the Karl Roves

Their defeat is as inevitable as death

Victory is as certain as upsets in march madness

As springtime taxes

As simple as kindergarten classes

No matter what the place or circumstances

The faithful kick asses.
