Well, it's been a long time since we have posted a blog on our MySpace. It has been a bit over a year. Ironically (or rather, masterfully planned), it has also been a bit over a year since the last time we released a record. Hopefully this post will pop up your bulletin, and you will say "WTF, they haven't posted a blog in over a year - what do they have to say?" If you are reading this, then we know our plan has worked.

A lot has happened since the release of The Thing About Time, we have solidified into the 8 person line up we have on stage now, we have all learned a lot about each other and what it means to put everything you've got into a musical project, we have made tons of friends and connections throughout the country, and we have played over 100 shows, including Mountain Jam Fest, CMJ Music Marathon, and Athens Pop fest. Our next endeavor is a two week tour down to SXSW in a brand new (to us) 15 passenger van to Austin and back.

This post serves as both a "Hi, how are you doing? It is nice to see you again," and also as an announcement for our upcoming Tour Send-Off show and EP release on the 13th of March at Valentines in Albany, with the beloved We Are Jeneric, and the wonderful Red Lions (also releasing their full length album, Midnight Book). The track listing for our brand new EP, Charles Mingus'Garbage Pile, is as follows:

1. Everything Is, Pt. III
2. Carrot on a String
3. A March Through Charles Mingus' Garbage Pile
4. Table and a Cup
5. Goin' Nowhere

A March was released on our MySpace in the beginning of 2009, and various versions of Goin' Nowhere have existed on the internets in one form or another, but the EP will have brand new recordings of every track, recorded pretty much every weekend over the past two months in upstate NY.

Our upcoming shows section lists our tour stops with a few TBA's here and there (hint hint anyone that wants to play a show with us near any of those cities). We hope you get a chance to get a copy of the EP, we hope you get a chance to come to our shows to check us out, we hope you enjoy, and we hope to be your friend.

2009 is the year of the ridiculously obvious statement.

BEWARE! the Other Head of Science

Word on the street is that 2009 is also the year of Tetris sounds being in the background of Tim Koch songs.
