A novel-length sequel to "The Yuletide Thing," a short story originally published by Doorways magazine and is a part of my recent collection "Red Wet Dirt," (which is also being turned into a comic book by Shot in the Dark Comics), is going to have a novel-length sequel, "The Ashes of May."  It's going to go hand in hand with the mythology of the Roseville Witch as portrayed in my Diverse Tales story "The Rose Hole" and will be the centerpiece of a story in a trilogy which begins with "The Downwardens," where a Southern California man moves to Sacramento to solve his sister's death, and then to "The Sirens of Knowland" where the man moves to Roseville and into "Rose Hole" lore, and "The Ashes of May" will delve more profoundly with the creature in "Yuletide" where a little boy and his father overcome all odds in a climate full of terrible things waiting for them around every dark corner in a world full of lies and hatred, broken homes, and evil community park gnomes.

"The Everborn" is scheduled for re-release as a special edition hardcover early Fall '09, and a sequel's a-comin' after I get the Downwardens/Ashes of May thing off my back.

I'm pulling together a music CD with local bands doing original songs based on "Red Wet Dirt" stories, with a "Yuletide Thing" composition I'm writing myself and may do lead vocals, as well as a song I composed in 1988 titled "Mommy and Daddy" and another called "The Difference Between Darn and Damn."

I have a children's book coming out in January called "Chocolate Chimp Nipples and Banana Phones" that I announced a few weeks ago on the BBS site and on radio, and "The Cat That Ate Meow."

By August first, I'll have ten BBS titles on the market, and by September 1st, four more.  By the year's end, that'll jump to twenty-five to thirty, with about sixty signed authors.  Wooo......hooooo.

Lastly, by the time "Cutting Edges" becomes a comic book, I'll already have my directing spot for filming it in the palm of my hand.

Good things are on their way for this here.....whatever I am these days......

Blessings and peace to all,
---Nick
