Current mood:  blessed

who blogs?!? maybe the ones at work who have nothing to do.

I know everyone has dreams of being in movies, being a rockstar, or being a icon of some sort... but me, I dream of a cool evening with my friends. Listening to instrumentals, playing with fire, and enjoying some chicken and booze.  Now to you, that might not sound so glamourous. But there is little else I would rather do. Its in the simple pleasures that I find the most joy. Just imagine, someone pulls out the guitar, everyone is relaxed, someone chimes out "Ay yo"... and it starts. A uncontrollable outburst of emotion and creativity.  Everyone is a participant in some form or fashion... whether it be the tapping of a beat, singing a smooth melodic chorus, or a head nod that simply states... "i feel you". Its magic, its love, its community... So, I guess in that moment, I do dream of being a icon or a rockstar.  But the spectators are unnecessary, I just need my people. My comfort. So, I just want to take the time to say, I love you all!  Even if you suck more than a human being should be allowed to... lets get into some brushfires and instrumentals.

i don't know if this applies to your blog at all... well ok maybe a little, but I read this on my starbucks coffee cup and i thought of this. so here it is...

The Way I See It 260
Playing in an independent rock band will eventually make you equal parts truck driver, gladiator, and mule. Glamour is for those with trust funds.

OK, now that i read it again, it really has nothing to do with what you said but i like it anyway. But this post reminded me of our first real date when we went to David's afterwards and we sat around and you and jody played some guitar and sang and whatnot. "it was magic, it was love, it was community" - James Stoker. i just quoted you? anyways, that's really all i wanted to say. i'm giving you 2 kudos. I don't know what they are, but i feel you deserve them.
