Jackie the talking ghost speaks again
Bob's account
During the Darkness Radio retreat on the Queen Mary this December 9th, 2008.
Planet Paranormal investigator Brian Clune and myself found our way into the pool area of the Queen Mary. It was approximately 8:32 pm and the rest of the people that were attending the conference are listening to Jason and Grant of TAPS give there presentation. There was two girls with a table set up outside the revolving doors and selling tapes of Christian music.
Brian and I came into the pool area from the top level northwest entrance. I told Brian to wait while I turned on my recorder and he did the same. As we slowly entered I could hear a slight giggling or talking of a little girl but it stopped as we entered. On previous investigations on board the Queen Mary we have entered by the same entrance and have heard the singing of a little girl who we believe to be the voice of the little girl ghost Jackie. Jackie was first identified by the gifted psychic Peter James of the hit Sci-Fi channel show Sightings.
Peter first identified Jackie as Jacqueline Tourin the ghost of a little girl believed to have drowned in the second class pool that is now the Royal Theater.
Brian and I made a sweep of the upper level of the pool area and found no one else present up there. We then went down the southern staircase to the first level of the pool area and I inspected the room under the stairs. That is the dwelling of another spirit Rod Shelton of Hauntings Radio and I gave the pet name of Grumpy to this spirit who dwells under the stairs. We named that spirit Grumpy due to his habit of growling at people to try and scare them I suppose. This room was also empty of any human presence at that time.
We then went to the west end of the pool. The end that is at the base of the steps and nearest the slide and I began to call out to Jackie. Shortly after calling out to her the sound of a tiny voice cried out in the distance. It was a voice I have come to know all to well as the voice of Jackie. I could not make out what was being said exactly and asked her to come closer so I could hear her better. Again we could hear her pipe up in the distance. I asked Brian if he could hear it and he replied that he could but was not sure it was Jackie. He thought it could be someone playing a trick but I have heard the voice so many times I know it was her. It is like remembering the voice of your own child. You don't forget it. Brian and I then proceeded to the changing rooms and checked them for a human presence and again no one was present in the changing rooms.
At about this point in our attempt to converse with her an amazing thing happened. I was almost unconsciously thinking to have here come see uncle Bob because almost everyone has an uncle Bob and I thought it would ease her fears of us. I had not said anything out loud about that but clearly, loudly you could hear her say in a very annunciated manner “You Are Not My Uncle.” I continued coaxing Jackie to come closer and talk louder as I was having a little trouble making out what she was saying.
I finally said “Jackie come see your uncle Bob.” and she responded “your not my uncle” and I could clearly hear her when she said it. I then replied “you can call me your uncle.” she promptly and very loudly yelled back “NO.” I was really a little hurt by her anger until later at home when I watched the episode of Sightings with Peter James and realized she yelled at him to go away in much the same tone and manner. Now instead if being hurt by it I was exited because I realized this may help me prove the validity of the evidence we had caught. As time wore on Jackie continued to talk to us but she grew a little faint again but she seemed to be saying she was stuck or caught somewhere but I could not find out where it might be. At one point she also seemed to call for her daddy. In the past I have recorded her on several occasions calling for her mommy but never her daddy. I do recall Peter James mentioning that she calls for her mommy, daddy and her nanny. I would like to interject at this point that this entire experience as it was happening took much energy out of me. As the conversation continued my energy left me at an ever increasing rate and by 15 minutes I was drained and nauseous. At a little over 17 minutes Jackie had faded back to almost an inaudible level and her level of response had also greatly slowed. It was at this point I felt we had got as much valuable evidence as we could get on that night. Brian had been after me to let him go up and check the outside hallway for a little girl and I felt it was safe to do so now as I was no longer worried about her being scared off. Brian and I walked out the doors to the lobby and Brian asked the two ladies if they had seen a little girl in the last half hour. The both looked at him like he was crazy and in a snide manner said “no.” One thing I feel may be important to mention is people tend to spread out all over the pool area top and bottom levels. Based on past experience Jackie seems to like the top level of the pool. This may scare her off and I feel like this may be one reason more people may not hear her. People on many, many occasions have reported seeing a little girl running around up there. I have heard time and again people that have never been to the ship tell me exactly the same places they see her and how they see her looking over this one spot every time. To me this is beyond coincidence. This night I myself saw the tiny shadow run past the curtained off hallway on the second level and you hear me mention it in the audio clip. A few seconds later you hear Brian say he saw a shadow run passed the the revolving door that use the be the main entrance to the pool. After all the time we have been able to investigate the ship there seems to be one possible time frame that is coming to light with regard to Jackie activity. It seems the best time period tends to falls between the last two weeks of November and the first two weeks of December, between 7 and 10 pm. This is the times I have heard her the loudest and the longest. I am not sure if Peter James even came to this conclusion. I guess we may never know. I am not sure why this is unless it may be around the time of her death? This to me would be the most obvious reason but again we may never know for certain. Now it is our mission to get these two sets of audio recordings inspected by expert sound engineers and possibly even people in law enforcement or military. I would also like to see if the voice could be matched with the old Peter James audio. I believe if we could match the two it would be highly significant for the field of parapsychology. Stay tuned for what else me may catch and what else we may find.

Brian's Account
At approx 8:30pm after having dinner Bob and I went down to the pool area to see if we could get any evidence of either Jackie or “grumpy” since everyone else was still at the auction. As we were walking down the hall way to the pool from the bow we got about halfway and heard a girl’s voice echoing from the pool. Bob immediately ask if that was “her” to which I said “I” don’t know. When we did enter the pool area we started to look around on the upper level but didn’t hear or see anything unusual. We did however notice that there were people out side the circular door of the pool. Bob and I started to call to Jackie by saying hello and asking her if she could talk to us. It wasn’t even a minute later that we heard a voice say something that I could not make out but thought I recognized as Jackie. Bob started talking to her and saying thank you for talking to us and Jackie started talking even more. I was a little suspicious but kept it to myself. Bob was saying that she sounded far away and the voice started to get louder. It was about this time that I started to move around to see if there was anyone in the pool area or out side the curtained area on the up stairs. About this time I thought I saw some one standing on the upper starboard side by a railing the ship had put up. As soon as I tried to get a better look however there was nothing there. I even went thru the curtain to look to see if anyone was in the hall way leading out to the occupied area of the ship. There was no one there. I came back out and Bob and I started to look around the other areas of the pool like the changing room and the area that grumpy hangs out under the stairs. Bob was still talking to Jackie as we looked around. Jackie started to sound as if she were mad at Bob because she started yelling and her voice became forceful. She even stated twice, once before Bob even said anything, that he was not her uncle. Both times she sounded adamant about this fact. Around 12 or so min. into the conversation we thought we heard a male voice grunting or something like a grunt and assumed that it was Grumpy. Bob asked Jackie if Grumpy bothers her and we heard a distinct “no” in her voice. Bob then apologized to Grumpy. As a note the lights were out and we do know that Jackie hates to have the lights. This may be a cause of her anger this night. We continued to talk to her but her responses became fewer as the minutes went by and about 18 minutes into the conversation Bob and I ended this session. We did however take one more look around and left by way of the curtained area leading out to where the group of people was sitting so that I could ask them if there had been a little girl out there that may have been yelling or crying or otherwise making loud noises. This was a Christian group and they looked at me as if I was insane to even ask the question but I persisted and they emphatically said no, there was no little girl there at any time in the evening. Later that night Bob and I reviewed the recordings and both of us were amazed at what we captured and even more amazed at how much more we could understand what she was saying when we played it back from our computers.
