In many situations you’ll find stored energy

Heat’s a type of energy, temperature’s not
That’s just a measure of cold and hot
Heat can move in three ways, the first of the three
Is conduction like your spoon when you’re stirring your tea
Moving particles cause those next to vibrate
If materials don’t do this we say they insulate
Hot liquid or gas particles are free to move in any direction
So here the energy is transferred by convection
Finally radiation which is given off by everyone
And doesn’t involve particles like the heat of the sun

You can’t replace a non-renewable energy resource
Which is why some people say we need energy laws
And others are prepared to fight energy wars
Non-renewables are fossil fuels – coal, oil, gas
As opposed to wind and waterpower, burning biomass
It is possible forms them to be replaced
So let’s change up the system on which our energy use is based
With energy saving devices or different generation schemes
Wind turbines, solar cells and tidal power machines
When it comes to energy saving, we can all do our part
Walking to school and turning the lights off would be a start
