Since I'm 15 years old, I've been eating at Jumbo's. I eventually married the owner's daughter. It is a Miami landmark, but it's also the best fried shrimp and chicken anywhere. That's right. Anywhere.

Sadly, because of the economy, it's been losing money by the handful. So take a look at this video and see why history will miss this one.

If anyone deserves a bail out, it is the guy in the video. A place like Jumbo's should be on some type of endangered protection list along with every cool mom and pop shop and restaurant still out there; as when forced to choose between competing 'quality-standards' of franchises and corporations we all too often end up with something that seriously lacks the thought and care that makes a quality product or service desirable in the first place.

Yeah Brad that is sad and i've seen a few around Atlanta over the years that have suffered. Jumbo's is historical.
