Saw Where The Wild Things Are last night. It has no business being great. But it is. So manipulative. So perfect. It just replays all the operas from your childhood, and for ten bucks, you have your childhood back. I will watch anything Spike Jonze does. Eggers too.

Also, I love this and I'm so jealous of them. Like seeing cool kids who you know could be your friends. I can just feel the Gen Ys getting started. Proof that they'll always be something new for us.

At the end of the movie, I turned to my wife and the two of us couldn't stop crying.
I bought the soundtrack and it also just ripped up my heart.

Big Dog Comics

I took my wife [Library director and past children’s Librarian] to seek Partly Cloudy with Meatballs and Where the Wild Things Are, this weekend.  The first was entertaining but WTWTA was just simply awesome.

And yes the Man-Monster known to all as Capt Joel did cry at the end. Say something about it!

If the world has not totally corrupted you or even if it has, everyone needs to go see Where the Wild Things Are and reacquaint yourself with the fun loving, no cares, child that still lives in each one of us.

Two things to say “I don’t want to eat anyone” and “Aawroooooooooo”
