I'm going to give a little tour of the drumkits that I own, love, and use.

'08 Pearl VBX in 230 Clear Birch; THE GOLDEN EMPIRE

This is the studio/Chemical Valley set.  It is probably the most beautiful kit I've ever owned (and I've owned many!!) and is the 'Flagship' on my Federation. ("Live long and prosper")

I immediately upgraded to the Optimounts (as opposed to the I.S.S. mounts) and Gyrolock tom arms for the mounted toms.  I added memory locks to the floor tom legs and upgraded some of the rack clamps (PC-50's) to the PCX-100's and 200's.  I felt that I needed a little more of a variety with regards to my crash sounds, so I changed the 16" A Thin Crash to a 17" A Custom Rezo Crash.  Wow, what a great crash cymbal!! 

And, probably the most coolest addition to this kit is the secondary BASS DRUM!!!! I haven't actually had a true double bass set up in about 10 years, so this thrills me to no end!!  Here's are pics of it...
